Keeping the value of time and importance of deadlines in mind, we have the latest and the largest in-house power generation facility that helps us to cater all our energy needs. Mahmood Group has always been an advocate of renewable energy. We take extreme pride in being the largest producer of solar energy in the private sector. Our power generation facility ensures uninterrupted power supply and continuous production process. Our current power generation capacity is 67.8 MW, which enables us to accomplish the demands of any mega project. To ensure smooth running, a team of highly qualified caterpillar staff oversees the operations.

Mahmood Group has among the largest in-house power generation facility that helps us cater to all our energy needs. We are the largest single user of CATERPILLAR Gas Engine in the captive power division (Textile sector of Pakistan), and also have Caterpillar 3520-Edge, Caterpillar 4MW CG260-16 Engine, the highest capacity gas engine in Pakistan.

With close to 15 MW worth of installation and the latest half cell technology, we calculate a reduction of 2000 CO2 tons carbon emissions. Mahmood Group also contributes to the National Grid using net metering and our online energy monitoring platforms ensure that a highly qualified staff oversees the operations.

Mahmood Textile Mills Limited holds a 20.967% shareholding of Orient Power Company. Orient Power Company (Private) Limited was incorporated to set up and operate a 212.7-megawatt power generation plant for electricity generation and onward sale to the power purchaser.

Oursun Pakistan Limited (Oursun Pakistan), was incorporated in June 2015 as a public limited company, the company has been established to set up and operate a 50 MW solar power generation plant for the generation of electricity and onward sale to K-Electric. The company operates under the Renewable Energy Policy 2006. . The company signed Energy Purchase Agreement with Karachi Electric Limited for a period of 25 years. REL has a strategic investment in Oursun Pakistan with 27.5% equity held.
